Adams Street Coffee is good My favorite coffee house in Macomb. Yes, there are many locals eating lunch. This is a small town, so don't expect students there on a Sunday morning. They sleep! The food is good! Adams Street Coffee has to deal with a Health Dept., therefore wrapped bagel. If you ask they may be happy to toast your bagel.
Odd little spot I stopped in here one morning when I needed a cup of coffee & a wireless connection. The decor is nice, the chairs don't really support lounging, and the service was strange. Not bad, just strange. The owner (I think) was baking cakes for a catering order. My bagel came wrapped in plastic, with a tiny tub of cream cheese - not exactly the crusty happiness I usually expect for the cost of a coffee shop bagel. My coffee was decent, but not exciting. Coffee on Campus This new little coffee shop opened up last school year right on the campus of western Illinois University. The prices are fare. The only complain that I have is that they do not serve any sort of straight (drip) coffee. They can make an americano, which is essentially the same thing, but not. The feel is very clean, almost to clean for my taste the service, the few times that I have been there has been a little short, but not quite rude
Adams Street Coffee is terrific Best coffee house in Macomb. Wonderful coffee offered regular strength or strong. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere with a decor that is head and shoulders above the usual fare around here. They have the BEST chicken salad sandwich I have ever had the pleasure of eating.
