During a particularly difficult couple of weeks for our family, we were met with a faulty kitchen sink faucet, with hot water flowing non-stop. I contacted this company for assistance, but was met with unprofessional and discourteous responses during our stressful period. Marvin was the plumber dispatched to me. He was frankly disappointing, he showed up with another fellow who was unhelpful (I never caught his name). Marvin's lack of expertise was a major roadblock in addressing the issue! The two were supposed to work together to resolve the blockage in the sewer drain, but...

Both individuals, Marvin and Derek, were unprofessional, inconsiderate, and dismissed all my questions. Not only were they disastrous on my plumbing system but also an unprofessional company. This is the second time I have used them for my plumbing issues, and it's been a nightmare. They do a terrible job while remaining unprofessional. From the people who answer the phones, to the maintenance crews that come out to do the service, it's all subpar and I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

The outlet pipe was not retaining water as it was incorrectly angled to drain back to the unit into tubing to go into the drain in the basement floor. Marvin failed to repair it, and additionally, he was unable to explain any potential future issues such as a clogged drain tube and how I could solve it with minimal effort. He also neglected to extend the drain pipe and install a small angle piece so the pipe would drain directly into the drain, instead it was left an inch short, which was causing a mold trail to the drain. We reached out to Illinois Best Plumbing & HVAC and received a prompt reply for service the following day. Roger was exceptional, personable, tidy, and comprehensive in his work. I was relieved with their assistance, as this was for my elderly father-in-law who suffers from dementia. I would recommend them to anyone in Chicago who needs reliable plumbing services.
