I had a badly damaged hip due to arthritis and needed a hip replacement. Not only did Dr. Norwood replace the hip but provided excellent detailed oral and written instructions for what to do before the surgery to ensure a good outcome and what progress to expect in the weeks after surgery. Cannot say enough great things about Dr. Norwood! Very honest, dedicated and genuinely cares about his patients and their best interest. I had knee pain for several years, saw Dr. Norwood, who after determining the cause of the pain gave me several treatment options. He listened to my concerns, came up with a treatment plan that fit my needs and now 1.5years later I am no longer suffering from knee pain. A phenomenal doctor that is truly passionate about his profession!
I had both hips replaced by Dr. Norwood. Both experiences were great. The thing that put me at ease and impressed me so much was during my first visit I didn’t know what to expect. Dr. Norwood spent at least 30 minutes explaining why I needed the surgery, going over my X-rays, and informing me what to expect. Dr. Norwood and his team including Chelsea Townsend and Liz Villarreal-adame were professional, and friendly. Within 3 months of my full knee replacement I was able to hike trails and consistently managing 16,000 steps a day. His use of a variety of drugs got me through the early weeks with manageable pain, even though I chose to skip the oxycodone. I would highly recommend placing yourself in his care.
