My 4-year-old son unexpectedly broke his leg. It was surprisingly difficult to find care for this type of injury in a child so young and as prompt as we needed it. I spent all morning at Urgent Care debating whether we were going to the ER (yuck we avoid the germs there whenever possible),I even dropped by a different Clinic during walk-in hours only to be turned away. The provider was running 40 minutes behind and no one apologized about it. The doctor was friendly but rambled a bit. He gave some directions about taking medicine and icing but i couldn't focus because he kept talking about other things. When we left we didn't get any directions about what to do.
Very well run doctors office. Caring and competent individuals.
First, I did not appreciate the doctor bringing a high school student into the session. The two medical students were fine, I guess, but I wasn't consulted in private or at all if I would be okay having students included in my visit. The doctor rambled on about things not related to my issue. It was distracting and clouded and confused the picture of things discussed regarding my issue.
