I was referred to Dr. Brooks for a knee replacement, but he decided against surgery due to my pulmonary history. He recommended a gel injection, which I agreed to and paid out of pocket. I asked for a detailed receipt, but the front desk person said billing would take care of it. Thirty days later, I contacted the front office, and the office manager told me they do not provide detailed receipts and advised me not to question their billing practices.
