I have a friend who currently lives at one of the properties owned by Atwood in Kalamzoo, MI. Their apartment, and all others in the building, have had a massive bedbug infestation for months. Atwood refused to heat treat the entire complex at the same time. As a result of this, the bedbugs continue to be a problem. They also rent out one of the units in the building as an Airbnb - even with the bedbug issue. Avoid renting from them at all costs.

Our rental unit has bedbugs and he will not fix the issue. He has done many treatments, but refuses to do a heat treatment of the whole building and get rid of the issue once and for all. He continues to rent out multiple units in the building as Airbnbs even with the bedbug issue, and this is likely where they came from in the first place. Adam Atwood and his property managers at Kalamazoo Property Management don't care at all about the quality of life of their tenants; they only care about scalping their tenants for their money. We rented under Kalamazoo Property Management for a little over a year, and the negligence our unit faced was absolutely absurd.
