Ada is incredibly thorough, intelligent, attentive, and caring. Unlike many doctors or PAs, I appreciate her approach of people as a system of parts, not just one part (the brain). She discusses options in detail and does an excellent job of following-up more frequently than most mental health medical professionals. I happen to be a scientist, so she can use more technical vernacular, but for the immersion part of psychology (not my forte), she presents her understanding and expertise in a comprehensive and patient way. I’ve been seeing Ada for some time now and I feel like she really tries her best to understand her patients, every time we talk I get the sense that she wants to understand the headspace I’m in or accurately unpack the things that I say. I also appreciate how much of a safe space she provides during our conversations, I feel like I can safely express how I’m feeling without being judged. All in all she’s a great person to talk to.
Being seeing Ada since 2023 so I think I can provide an unbiased review. Pros: 1. The spruce app made scheduling appointments pretty easy 2. Saturday appointments made it easy to navigate weekly schedule. Cons: 1. Ada was unprofessional many times. Rescheduling appointments last minute, once missed an appointment only to message me hours later to say she had a flight to catch. I was nervous about switching to Ada after my previous doctor stopped accepting my insurance, but I’m so glad I did. From day one, she has been the most supportive and attentive provider I’ve ever had. She genuinely listens, walks me through every medication change, answers all my (probably excessive!) questions, and never makes me feel like a burden. Ada has been my Psychiatrist since 2023 and she’s amazing! She listens to my opinions and is an advocate of finding a treatment program that fits me. I hope To continue under her care for as long as possible. Also, phone appointments are the way. (Add Mandalorian GIF here)
