Never received a bill from them, then all of a sudden I get a letter in the mail that they will be sending me to collections and I will be responsible for "attorney fees". Anesthesiologist in the hospital never said he didn't work directly for Carilion, Carilion charged me 3,000$ on their end for anesthesia services, so I did not even know to expect a bill. They have went as far as having me arrested for not paying them. I can't believe a doctor would not only sue but have arrested a terminally ill person. As if I don't have enough to contend with the people who are supposed to help you... Hurt you more

I had the same experience as others. Just billed once and then final notice it is going to collections. Although the notice falsely claims they tried several times to contact me! Really?!?

ACV is a joke! My husband had surgery a while back and of course needed anesthesia...since Carilion will not employ their own anesthesiologists, they use ACV. We were left owing over $2000. We set up a payment plan with ACV, but for a few months they were having payment issues with THEIR system. Instead of working with us to get back on a plan, they sent our account to an attorney, who has now screwed us royally. This place is a joke. I received one bill before they sent it to collections and then to an attorney with a court date. They did not file it correctly through my insurance or it would have been covered. My Human Resources department is trying to figure out the mess currently and I’m sure this court situation will affect my credit. Word to the wise, find out who is doing the anesthesia before consenting to surgery and request someone else!
