Dr. McCormick is a doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as well as a Doctor of Naprapathy. He trained in Europe and in China too. It is rare to find a natural medicine doctor with such a wealth of experience and training. You are in the best of care when you see him. He works with herbs including hemp CBD to help people heal and feel their best. He has helped me on many levels.
When seeking out the care of a practitioner for acupuncture be sure they are graduates of a CCAOM recognized college of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with a minimum of a 3,300 hour master's degree. There are a number of practitioners from other fields holding themselves out to the public as having the adequate minimum number of hours to safely and effectively practice acupuncture. The practitioners are all graduates of accredited acupuncture colleges with Masters's/Doctoral degrees. I am glad they are authentic acupuncturists and are properly trained. I learned that my chiropractor who claims to know acupuncture and calls herself an "acupuncturist" simply took a "crash course" and really shouldn't be sticking me or her patients with needles. Glad I found this clinic where they are appropriately trained and skilled. The Acupuncture Society of South Dakota endorses this clinic.
It was refreshing to find a properly trained acupuncturist in Rapid City. I'm originally from Seattle and when I came to Rapid CIity I had trouble finding someone that knew what they were doing. It is sad but the chiropractors in town keeping pushing acupuncture on me and my family when they have no clue what they are doing and they are certainly not acupuncturists or Oriental medicine doctors. I've been seeing Dr. McCormick for natural healthcare with acupuncture, hands-on therapies and nutritional supplements (including Chinese herbal medicine.) Knowing his work and skill for a few years now, I have to say there is nobody else in the region better and more experienced than him in regards to natural healing techniques. Fantastic acupuncturist/naturopath and doctor of natural medicine.
