My 7 year old son has been in ABA therapy for almost 3 years now. Unfortunately, at the center he currently attends, his BCBA received a promotion that is requiring her to move to a different city. We love her so much so naturally we were a little apprehensive about the change for him. Especially since the BCBA that he would be transitioning under did not have nearly as much experience. Our family has had an excellent experience with Action Behavior Centers in Stone Oak. From the start, the team has been welcoming, communicicative, and genuinely invested in progress. The therapists show patience, creativity, and consistency, and they make sure we understand every step of the treatment plan. Unfortunately, ABC told us that they weren't a good fit for our child with severe autism. We were told that he was too smart and they didn't work with children with certain behaviors. I wish that they had been more realistic or up-front with us from the beginning. We talked to multiple people, filled out questionnaires. They never met him and didn't set up an assessment that they had said was our next step. It was heartbreaking for us and I would never recommend an agency that handles situations like they did.
This is by far the best place for our kiddo. The growth our little one has shown its great. We are so glad we found them and even more glad for the staff! All the staff is great and they keep gathering great talents. Sad that our little one will be leaving within the next year, but blessed to have been part of this great location 🙏 🙌 ❤️
