Dr Austin has been the best family doctor for 38 years and sad to see her retire. The new location Acorn to Oak started out ok, but the same snarky receptionist still work there. I have been a patient since they were located at Baker St, then the Eaton Centre and now Scottsdale. Now Dr Austin is retiring we are not able to see the Nurse practitioner Karen Cox even though we have been clients of hers. I have been a patient at this clinic since they were at Baker Street. I trust my current Dr. (Chan) and the entirety of the staff including Nurse Practitioners and Therapists. I appreciate the total family and whole body approach they take. When you share openly and honestly with your Dr. you receive the same in return. A special shout-out to Dr. Beland and staff nurses who assisted me in caring for my husband while he was in palliative care. I appreciate every one of you for your council, advice and care.
I see negative reviews are about timing and availability but I completely disagree. There are still so many people in guelph who can't even get a doctor. AND this clinic offers a fantastic afterhours service every day after 5pm where doctors are on-call. This has been so helpful when otherwise I would need to sit in the ER for something more minor such as an ear infection for example. My family feels very grateful to be patients of this clinic.
For the last 3 months I was told they only do same day bookings so when I take a day off work and call at 8am (7th person on hold) I'm told they're fully booked and can't see me until Thursday afternoon!!! Oh bc NOW they've opened their schedule!!! Another day off work!! As a single Mom I can't AFFORD THIS OFFICE ANYMORE!! Been a patient for 27 years but they pick and choose who they will see and when. I'll probably get a referral for a specialist and have to wait a year. I hope it's not skin Cancer!!
Trying to make an appointment only a week in advance it doesn't work and i have to call Everyday to see if there anything available or someone cancled. I have to book 2 weeks in advance due to work.
