Our farm shop (Chesterton) is stocked with grass-fed beef, pastured pork, pastured poultry and eggs, grass-fed lamb, vegetables, and honey from our local family farm. All of our meat and veggies are free of hormones, antibiotics, man-made fertilizers/pesticides/herbicides/fungicides, and GMOs. I have been coming here for years driving from the south suburbs of Illinois to Chesterton. Always greeted by Megan and Joanna who are always there to answer any questions you may have. The quality of meat is unmatched! Friendly and inviting Farmstore which also has a wide selection of goods such as dairy, veggies, fruit, and pantry items. I highly recommend Acorn Acres Farm.
I have always searched for a place with high-quality meat, and Acorn Acres delivers exactly that. They have some of the finest and best-tasting meat I’ve ever had. They work very hard to ensure they serve their customers the highest quality possible. There’s no other place like this, and I will continue returning. I highly recommend that you check it out.
I love that they have an online ordering system (sign up for the newsletter to get advance notice as what is available) and I have asked them to carry items that I was having trouble finding. Acorn Acres is a friendly atmosphere too. I love sharing recipes too with all the employees.
all the products overpriced!! if you check farmers in the area they sell all the steaks at half of the price!! the person in charge( the one with eyeglasses and mask) at the store have some mental problems!!! be careful, don't ask why everything is overpriced! she get angry and she stop selling everything !! btw the eggs are horrible ( the yolk is white yellow not orange as of the grass fed chickens) !! way better eggs from farmers around!! its a scam!
