I've been there a few times and always loved the food. I could go in there and get a dozen charbroiled oysters and a Bloody Mary for my meal and it was awesome! My friend came down from Alabama for New Years and I wanted him to taste some seafood how it was supposed to be cooked and he definitely enjoyed it! No complaints whatsoever. I love going to ACME. I have never been disappointed.
My friend from Bogalusa took me here,she said your restaurant has the best seafood. I was not disappointed. I normally don't like oysters,but I tried your charbroiled and fried oysters. They were so good. Thanks for a wonderful meal and service.
Wonderful food, wonderful service, a nice, comfortable atmosphere! What more can you ask for? I've been going to Acme in the Quarter since the late 1960's and, now that I live on the Northshore, would prefer eating here. The food is just as wonderful and the dining room has great ambience! The wait for a table can be a while, so try to arrive a bit early. If you do find yourself waiting, go ahead and do it - it's worth it!

Soft shell crab was very large. Seasoned and fried to perfection. Fish and shrimp platter equally as delicious. Wait staff prompt and friendly ...highly recommend a visit here for seafood. Didn't have charbroiled oysters this trip but they are also... always excellent!!!
Love the seafood gumbo....tater salad and those wonderful chargrilled oysters!!! Yummy!!
not alot of seafood in the gumbo but the gravy was good.
We're a baseball team and we eat out twice a week. 30 plus people every outing. Food decent however, the service pathetic. Waited well over a hour to get the bill. I understand it is a lot of people but until this experience all restaurants handeled fairly easily. Nice if your getting away with a few people. They just could not figure out how to add bill. Each family placed their own order. We finally said hell on it and put on one credit card I can tell you now no way shape or form will we be back to this Acme House in Covi... read more
