My child took swimming lessons during the summer and developed otitis externa. We visited a pediatrician, who prescribed ear drops. However, after a week of use, there was no improvement, and the ear canal began to bleed. Upon a follow-up visit, the pediatrician switched to a different ear drop, which caused a polyp to form in the ear canal, causing my child significant pain.
