When I first became a patient years ago I have to admit that the office was a bit unorganized which I guess was understandable being that it was a new practice transferring from the western shore. I can say then and still today that Dr Henry is a wonderful Doctor. He has excellent bedside manners, he's very personable and makes you feel more like a friend rather than a patient. His expertise are top notch, he knows what he's talking about, very knowledgeable. He will work out a plan for you and your pain. The only reason I g... read more
He took my pain seriously and was the first doctor to finally the cause of my neck pain. He took a conservative approach and gave me a plan to avoid surgery if possible. He really takes his time , listens and asks good questions. Highly recommend!
I was a patient for approximately 2 years. When I first started, the office was filthy, wait times were 2+ hours but Dr. Achampong was very nice and explained things well. As time went on, I realized the front office staff was very, very rude and untrained. I routinely saw nurse practitioners usually a different one every month because of the turnover rate. My medications were called in to my pharmacy about 1/3 of the time,.and I usually needed 2+ calls every month to get them to resubmit. If you need to speak to one of the ... read more
First impressions are great. He is able to explain the physiological issues that are contributing to the pain very well. Great bedside manner. After that first visit it goes downhill quickly. Extremely high staff turnover, can never get a return call or actually speak with a clinician, prescriptions only get electronically submitted at the time of the appointment about 50% of the time (which they "send" while in the room with you) gaps in pain medication due to chasing down the prescriptions being sent late or changed after ... read more
Five stars in every way
Dr Achampong is extremely compassionate and gentle. I moved and dreaded finding a new pain management office however, I’m beyond blessed. The office staff are so friendly and great sense of humor and extremely professional. Dr Achampong really cares about his patients he knows them by name and is so respectful. I appreciate that he doesn’t rush with his patients. I don’t mind waiting longer for my appointment at times because I know he will give me his undivided attention and is persistent in decreasing my pain. So glad to b... read more
Dr. Achampong is without a doubt the best pain doctor around he listens to your issues and talks to you in human terms not doctor terms he allows you to ask questions if need be and the staff is great well respectable basically his office i would recommend to anybody in pain or otherwise he's great
I have never met such a rude doctor. He spent maybe 2 minutes with me before telling me I wouldn't be a fit for his practice, and walking out the door, no goodbye, just shutting the door on me. He had over a year of medical records, disability reports and a referral from an ortho surgeon and he still wouldn't look at anything. Actually told me "maybe your disability attorney can treat you". (I've been on disability for over 15 years, so apparently I have something wrong). I have never left a doctor's office feeling so bad, t... read more
The staff is very friendly and made my visit comforting. Dr Henry is very attentive and all ears! He made sure he confirmed his understanding of my pain to me and if he had it right. He discussed all my options with me. I found him to be VERY HONEST. My shoulder pain has improved remarkably. He is the best! You will be happy you met him. He even remembered my kids names, OMG!! I feel like I can talk to him freely about anything.
