Visited this shop last month to diagnose transmission issues, which they were unable to diagnose; as vehicle could not be scanned for error codes. For this I was charged a $75 fee, and told to return once vehicle was able to produce the codes they needed. I then provided them, after calling to verify proper email address; with the diagnostics they needed. I went to a mechanic shop and they told me that I needed a new transmission. The one I had had 142,00 + miles. I went to ACE Transmission service in Streamwood. I talked to Rich , and they drove the car and determined I needed a new transmission. Rich told me he could get a rebuilt one for less than 1/2 the price and considering my age and the fact I don't drive as many miles any more, felt a rebuild would be sufficient. The car runs great plus saved me a lot of money. Thank you Rich for all your help !!!
I'm so happy I was recommended to Ace Transmission!! A garage told me after over weeks of having my SUV because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, to turn around & tell me I need a new transmission. Took over to Ace, & got mine fixed for half the price!! Thank you Rich!! I'd give more stars, but it only goes to 5.
