I went to a mechanic shop and they told me that I needed a new transmission. The one I had had 142,00 + miles. I went to ACE Transmission service in Streamwood. I talked to Rich , and they drove the car and determined I needed a new transmission. Rich told me he could get a rebuilt one for less than 1/2 the price and considering my age and the fact I don't drive as many miles any more, felt a rebuild would be sufficient. The car runs great plus saved me a lot of money. Thank you Rich for all your help !!!
Visited this shop last month to diagnose transmission issues, which they were unable to diagnose; as vehicle could not be scanned for error codes. For this I was charged a $75 fee, and told to return once vehicle was able to produce the codes they needed. I then provided them, after calling to verify proper email address; with the diagnostics they needed. Had the best experience with Rich. He was honest and upfront about the issue with my suv and what the solution will be. I had firestone tell me that my transmission was bad but it turned out that the transmission was perfectly fine. The work from firestone unrelated to the trans was the issue. Will recommend to everyone.
