Embarrassing communication skills for a business.
I stopped in recently and left after standing at the counter for five minutes without being acknowledged. There were multiple employees present, and I was clearly waiting, but no one said anything or indicated when I might be helped. Even when a shop is busy, acknowledging a waiting customer takes only a moment and is standard practice in customer-facing businesses. A simple ‘we’ll be right with you’ would have made all the difference.
