Ordered a used camera accessory through the web page. Store cancelled my order and refunded it. When I called to ask why, I was told that they already sold the item. The next day, the item was back on the web page with the same photos, sku, and upc, but at a significantly higher price. Avoid this shady business.
I'm a huge fan of this store, the staff and the community. These guys are incredibly knowledgeable and personable. They will help you find the right camera, lens, film stock, etc...as well as having a remarkable collection of unique and vintage gear. From beginner to experienced shooter, I'd highly recommend visiting Ace.
The two areas ace photos excels at is their inventory and their customer service. While trying to find the right extender at the right price, I was presented with hands-on expertise and patience. The employee I worked with was took the time to show me each potential extender and advise me on an appropriate set up for film scanning that worked with my budget. I will definitely be returning for all my future film photography needs.
I visited this store today, great selection, very helpful staff usually, but I was looking for Lens Hoods and Filters for my 77mm L glass and I wasn't sure what I wanted, and wanted to look over the selection, but they were behind the counter, and the older gentlemen working there took a rather harsh and confrontational tone with me, almost seemed like he was annoyed I didn't immediately know what I wanted, He directed me towards used filters and I just left after that. the “pay double for everything store”. if you need film developed in a pinch this place is decent and has a moderately fast turnaround, but you will pay double what you should for it. (they even charge to email the pictures to you??) buy your film camera here if you’d like to pay double for a broken one. RIP Dominion.
