I just finishing going down the Hiwassee with my instructor Jen. I continue to gain confidence from her instruction. I am learning all the different strokes with the paddle and reading the river as we go down it. I am sore from paddling as a new beginner and tired because I have not done this before, but I have wanted to do a sport that is so much fun to do that I forget that I am exercising. I took a 2 day lessons from Hank and I couldn't have been happier. I learned more in 2 days than I would have learned in a full year of weekend paddling with friends. Joe even let me borrow one of his boats to compare to mine. I highly recommend Ace and Joe, Hank or any of the other instructors.
I want to thank Joe Gudger for setting us up for a great trip and Morgan Wright for being an awesome guide and making our ride down the Hiwassee river a great experience! This is a great school for beginners and those who want to step up their game. They take time to make the experience enjoyable and help you learn at all levels. I highly recommend ACE to anyone who wants to learn or grow at kayaking!!
Had excellent time on river with Joe. He is a very good instructor and also very friendly and nice guy. He gave me a lots of good tips of how to improve my paddling technique. All equipment was in good condition and top of the industry standards. I had awesome time on river. If you are looking for instructor, there is no need to look further. This is it.
These guys rock! Joe is professional, friendly, and most of all fun! The gear was new and there was gear for every size. Do yourself a favor and book a lesson.
Myself along with my two step-sons and a high school friend spent the day on the Cartacay with Joe and he was awesome. I would highly recommend him if you are a beginner or someone advanced looking for a challenge
Had a great day on the water today! Joe Grudger was an excellent instructor. I learned a ton and he makes it a lot of fun. He's also very easy to talk to and communicates his instruction very clearly. If you've never tried whitewater kayaking and want to check out Ace and Joe. I highly recommend them!!!
I am filled with joy and gratitude after my trip to Costa Rica with ACE Kayaking. Joe and Jake are amazing instructors and paddlers. I am honored to be their student and friend. If you're interested in whitewater kayaking, this is the place to go.
