Merritt's Hardware was first opened as Merritt's Garden Center some 56 years ago. Not long after opening the garden center, Merritt decided this area needed a hardware store. Merritt's Hardware is now second generation with Merritt's daughter, Nancy, running the day-to-day business.

A cool place to visit I drive here frequently on my lunch break to buy premium ice cream bar found in the cooler in the front of the store. While I'm there I find myself buying lots of good merchandise at great prices.I have told many people about this store
The bamboozeled customer Dear sir, I've been a satisfied Merritts Ace customer for over 30 years. On 11/24/2010 I called your store to find out when the sale started. The young lady that answered was very pleaseant, after I explained what item I was calling about (Childrens tunnel tent), she indicated that if I came into the store 30 minutes before closing, I could purchase the item for the sale price. They make you feel like you're family. FANTASTIC!!! Competitive prices, knowledgeable and friendly staff. If you're unsure how to handle a plumbing or other issue odds are you will find some one there who will take the time to explain and walk you through the repair.
The best hardware store around Merritt's is probably the last old school hardware store there is. They have your hard to find parts and a very very knowledgeable staff. The prices cant be beat at Merritt's and they always have really good specials. I highly recommend Merritt's to anyone likes good customer service.
Best place for hard to find items I lived in Hacienda Heights for almost 14 years, and during all those years I would always end up at Merritt's every time I needed something for any home project or repair I would be working on, specially items and services hard or impossible to find anywhere else.I moved from Hacienda Heights almost 20 years ago, and to this date I still go back to Merritt's for these odd and difficult to find items and the special services they offer, they carry just about anything, and their staff is the ... read more
WOW!!! Anyone who lives in La Puente or the surrounding area really needs to check this place out!! They have an awesome staff and a HUGE variety of products. The service you get at this store is INCREDIBLE and the price is almost just as good! I recently visited home depot and lowes to get some bolts for my sons xbox 360 but could not get any help at either place, so I decided to give merritts a shot. The Best Around This store has the best customer service. They have employees that do run and hide when they see customers enter the store. When you have a question they actually take you to the aisle where the product is. They are reasonably priced for the service you get. They carry a wide variety of hardware not just the popular brands like Home Depot and Lowe's often do.

THE BEST STORE IVE EVER SHOPPED IN!!! Whenever I shop in any store I look for 2 things. One is if they have the product I want. 2nd and most important, is the service I receive. Merritt's has the best service I have experienced in any store. They may not look bug from the outside but once you enter you'll see they havev everything Lowes and Home Depot does and in most cases more. The prices are cheaper than Depot as well.
