Ace use to be a great store. Offering not only tools and hardware but gift and boutique type items. Lately they seem more focused on the boutique. Their Facebook page readily offers items for sale in that area but barely even mentions basic hardware items that may be on sale or new etc. Add that to a rude general manager and it makes for a awful experience. I do still shop there simply because it's convenient but that's about the only reason.

Buyer beware. Ace Hardware in North Bend has suspended returns of any kind until the pandemic is over. The explanation I received is that the policy change was due to safety concerns. If that is the case, why is Home Depot, Costco and just about everyone else in the space not also concerns. I spoke to the manager/general manager and he stated that they received the guidance from headquarters and it’s due to Stategy concerns for the community. RecommendedPretty partial to Ace! Not because of being a part time person years back, they are just great! Helpful, friendly and it’s just “Ace is the Place”!
Called to see if they had an item in stock. Waited on the phone for 5 minutes to be told they don’t even sell the item (even though it’s listed online). We go to another ACE and they are out of stock so we go to this location juuuuust to see if by chance the guy on the phone was wrong. There were 4 of them in stock, sitting on the shelf. After paying, an employee stops my husband to provide his receipt for proof of purchase. Thanks for the part, but we won’t be frequenting your establishment any longer.
RecommendedI love this store, great stuff and great employees. The store store employees are so amazingly helpful and always have been. But today I am here to brag on one particular employee, Sam in Hardware. He has helped me in the past and been extremely knowledgeable, today I ran into a snag while in the middle of a project and had to run up there in middle of the afternoon, on a Sunday, in the middle of this pandemic.
