We got scammed by Mike too. Please Beware... TL; DR: We were assigned "Ace's" through First American Home Warranty for a broken spring on our garage door and our technician was Mike. He was argumentative, interrupting, and talking down to us, uses common sleezy sales tactics (doesn't listen or let you get a word in, and will try to upsell you on something that's already included and listed in the itemized service, then acts like he's doing you a favor by doing it for "free"), and tries to get you to pay him out of pocket for... read more
Total scam. They claim to be sac GARAGE DOOR but are totaly lieing and stealing a reputable companies custmers. Yiu can read all about the ACES SCAM on yelp and google. The scam all the home owners insurance customers, they to the insurance company they represent and the home owner thats been paying for that insurance for years so they can charge more. Multiple customers told me they get scamed in this same way. American home shelid uses them yhem but not for long i have put in official complaints
All the work turned out great. The technician Nicolai was very polite and did a great job!
The garage door went out and I called a diff company to come give me a free estimate. When the other company came and told me I had to have the unit replaced, I instructed the company to leave the cover and belt off and I decided to go thru my warranty company who called Ace to come out. When tech Mike came out he said someone "tampered" with it and he wouldn't be able to fix it. I told them I had another comp check it out and literally unscrew 4 screws for the cover in front of me. We're still waiting for some explanation about the Service call fee collected, on February 10th, where the warranty cost was not sent to our warranty company and the extra $40 for two screw adjustments that we paid Ace Garage Door was absorbed by your company. I was "supposed" to receive an email two weeks ago AND also receive a call from the technician that performed the work. Neither has been done.
