Bill came to my house last week, we have been working with a real estate agent watching comps before ordering our appraisal. He came in well below the average for our neighborhood. It is disappointing that our house according to Mr. Bill is the lowest in the area. Houses with tile counters are selling for 132, we have slab granite, custom tile shower with seamless glass doors. Bill recently screwed up an appraisal for FHA and when asked to correct his obvious mistakes he refused. He used bogus comps and intentionally ignored relevant comps, even when he was presented them for consideration. He also mistakenly said the subject house had "no appliances" when clearly were appliances there. When asked to correct his report, he refused. He's not an honest appraiser and if you have the power to choose your own appraiser I would suggest you find someone else.
