I would give these people zero stars. If your doctor has to go through this "specialist pharmacy" just run. Incompetent and not willing to find a solution or even contact you if they have a problem.
Really awful company
I’m still waiting for a perscription for Simponi to be filled. The initial order and the prior authorization were placed in the second week of January. Since then I’ve been told any number of excuses, and assured the drugs were on the way. Twice weekly calls have no effect. And never has any communication been initiated by the company. The people at Accredo seem polite and professional, but the system is obviously broken, and judging by my experience,nobody is willing to fix it.
My husband has MS and it is documented multiple times that he cannot take the generic form of a med that helps him walk because of the fillers. Every year we go through multiple hoops with Prior Authorizations to get it approved. It doesn't matter that he has 2 co pay assistance that help pay for it. It's not coming out of accredo's pocket. Not to mention they have 2 charts on him and tell me they can't get rid of 1 of them. So it gets really confusing. We'll this year they denied both the PA and the Appeal. It's been a nightmare for 2 years. I considered stopping my medication because they are so hard to work with. Hours and hours of my life have been wasted on phones to get live-saving medication. I complained to benefits at my company, Cigna blamed my care provider which was completely wrong. My doctor did everything right and even called them multiple times.
