I enjoyed my state insurance up until a couple of months ago. That is when Erin, an employee was invited to my home under the guise that she would help me with assistance programs because I’m new to becoming disabled. The Good: - If you get the right person (and actually get through to SPEAK to a person), you'll have an ok experience. I have had some staff go out of their way to assist me after being stuck in what felt like an endless loop of phone calls, transfers, correspondence, etc. - At the very least most of the staff have been kind, even if they are unable to help. The system itself is needlessly complicated/confusing and I would imagine understaffed, and I imagine that impacts the workers and the type of interpersonal interaction ... read more
