I enjoyed my state insurance up until a couple of months ago. The Good: - If you get the right person (and actually get through to SPEAK to a person), you'll have an ok experience. I have had some staff go out of their way to assist me after being stuck in what felt like an endless loop of phone calls, transfers, correspondence, etc. - At the very least most of the staff have been kind, even if they are unable to help. The system itself is needlessly complicated/confusing and I would imagine understaffed, and I imagine that impacts the workers and the type of interpersonal interaction ... read more
Case management gave up on trying to find treatment. Colorado access is supposed to support Medicaid waiver clients, but doesn't
This has been a daunting experience trying to find a doctor in Aurora that takes new patients with Colorado access plans. It has been nearly impossible. Not a single doctor in the area is taking new patients. My old doctor is in Denver and I was trying to find something closer so I wouldnt have to go out of the way for appointments and also I was not happy with the care at the old doctor. UPDATE: This is Franci Greenberg. I have spent about 4 years since my extreme losses, ie: death of my dad who was my full time caretaker and best friend, loss of my home and loss of ALL stability I have had including my health gains of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome RSD to be spun around by this particular system, COA.
