I recently bought a home with a zone damper AC system. The zone upstairs started running intermittently and my home warranty company, that came with the house, sent Accent out to look at it. The guy they sent ended up telling me that a damper mechanism needed to be replaced and the company quoted me $582 plus the $75 service call I had already paid them. These people were so rude and uncaring on my first call with them that I wouldn't consider using them EVER!
The worst experience my husband and I have had! 11 months ago ACCENT came to fix our AC that went out during the hottest weeks of our summer. They were recommended through a home warranty company. Each time they came out the issue was "fixed". First and second visits the guys said they were going outside to let the the unit run about 20 minutes to make sure it was working... I was very apprehensive about this company being assigned to assist with my air conditioning issues by my home warranty company after looking at the reviews on here. Being a contractor myself, I always want the best of the best working on my home. My wife said the person that came was very nice & professional. I have had multiple experiences with Accent and I feel that they have done a horrible job each time. They came out the first time and were supposed to be working on our upstairs unit but the tech told us it was fine. Turns out the guy never even checked the unit upstairs, he was only checking the unit downstairs. This go around the unit needs a new compressor and our home warranty will only pay a portion but Accent is telling us that they are billing a higher amount which results in Non Covered payment that has to be payed b... read more
