The hotel stay itself was fine. However the dishonesty of the housekeeping staff is my issue. I left my diamond earrings on the nightstand right before we checked out. My fault, yes I know this and I own that. We went a few blocks to check into our 2nd hotel when I realized I left them. I was back at the AC hotel within 30 MINUTES of my checkout time to report that I left them. They let me back in the room and the housekeeping lady was cleaning and has no clue where my earrings are. Horrible, smelly lobby, poor service. My room was not ready at 4 pm or even at 5 pm. I booked a king, they wanted to put me in a dbl.i cancelled
As a Titanium member, I have stayed in countless Marriott properties, and this was easily one of the worst experiences I have had. Room 808 smelled like a cigarette ashtray the entire stay. I reported it twice, and nothing was done to fix it. No room change, no real attempt to resolve it, not even a basic follow up. The lobby was just as bad. How this is a Marriott hotel is beyond me. The woman who checked us in was incredibly rude, the hotel itself is disgusting- elevator has been dirty every single time we have used it, our bathroom had mold in the shower and sink- we are still currently guests, our room has yet to be cleaned. This is honestly the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed at- for $900 I’d expect a higher level of service and cleanliness. Still waiting for the front desk to bring clean towels after the 3rd request…
Literally do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
