Had a great experience for my stay. The room layouts are very comfortable and staff does a great job of cleaning the rooms. They have a water dispenser/ ice maker which I loved, because I didn’t have to drop a fortune buying water over my trip.
Let me start by saying, the gym is great and the location is perfect. However, this was my second to worst hotel experience. The room I was initially assigned shook ferociously all day. The front desk attendant noted that “the whole hotel shakes when laundry is in the spin cycle.” A lie that was repeated by the hotel manager. I reported the shaking my first day. The rooms look modern and clean, and it's close to Duke's West campus, but it's shoddy construction. Our A/C sounded like a jet engine going off and on all night long, and we couldn't sleep. I did complain to the front desk in the morning, hoping to receive at least a partial refund, but to zero avail. I will not be staying here again.
My family stayed here overnight twice in the past week on a roadtrip to South Carolina and we loved, especially my toddler. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are modern with have all the necessary amenities and very spacious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly Tre. Front desk agent should not announce your room number when providing key. Bathroom cleanliness needs attention - moldy shower, dust-crusted bathroom fan and dirt/urine on side of toilet.
