Bobby was great and his service is impeccable
A Memorable NCCU Class of 1996 Meet and Greet at AC Hotel Durham The AC Hotel Durham provided an excellent setting for our NCCU Class of 1996 Meet and Greet. We appreciated the opportunity to decorate the space to reflect our class spirit and create a welcoming atmosphere for fellowship, reminiscing, and celebrating 30 years of Eagle Pride. A special thank-you to Mike Foster, Catering Manager, for helping us create the ambience we envisioned. I would also like to recognize Kendra, our bartender, for her friendly, professio... read more
I stayed here last week for a work trip. I want to shout out Sofia Deleon, she was my server during breakfast. She is super super sweet! She made my stay there even more amazing. She helped me every morning and was so kind. She is very attentive and detail oriented. She facilitated my morning routine which I needed as I am always running short on time. Thank you Sofia! She deserves a raise! It was great getting to know you! She always had a smile on her face and she will make your mornings very pleasant.
I’m not a fan of hotels where I cannot easily park and unfortunately this place is one of them. I couldn’t park in front of the hotel to check in because the area is so small. Found a place in the small parking deck below. Left later in the evening, came back and had to play land shark for 20 min to find a spot on the opposite side of the retail parking garage. Unfortunately you can’t park on the easily accessible floors of the retail garage for more than 2hrs per the signs so not my car is not even on the hotel property!
The rooms look modern and clean, and it's close to Duke's West campus, but it's shoddy construction. Our A/C sounded like a jet engine going off and on all night long, and we couldn't sleep. I did complain to the front desk in the morning, hoping to receive at least a partial refund, but to zero avail. I will not be staying here again. UPDATE: I received an email from the hotel about a week after my stay. They investigated the issues with the room and *did* issue me a credit. I will reconsider staying here again.
