They gave us $500 smoking charge because my wife was curling her hair before a wedding. We were visiting for a wedding and stayed a few nights. I had just showered and was getting dressed, my wife was curling her hair getting ready for a wedding. I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience at AC Hotel Honolulu. During my stay, I received a call from the front desk from Nalu stating that the hotel’s smoke detection system had detected smoking in our room. The call felt immediately accusatory, as though it had already been determined that we were smoking rather than simply notifying us that a sensor had been triggered. Great and modern hotel. Valet or very expensive parking near buy, you can find street parking but only for weekend as anywhere close mostly is restricted. Overall rooms were nice, food downstairs was great and price was decent. Staff was helpful and
