Although a little farther from the highway than we usually stay, this is a quaint little place with great service and comfortable rooms. We experienced an issue with the shower not draining and the staff was very accommodating in finding a solution. The complimentary breakfast is somewhat lacking. They are a dog friendly hotel, which is importantly to us.

Room 130 wasn't very clean. There was a ton of dirt/dust behind the furniture and the floor was sticky. There was a wet towel on the floor in the bathroom and the wifi didn't work. The bed was soft. All in all, I thought it was way overpriced.

If you absolutely need a place to stay for the night and have no other options, ABVI/Palmer Inn can work as an emergency stop. You will get some rest, but I would not recommend it for anyone planning a comfortable or longer stay. The staff are polite and I did see them changing the bedding, but the quality of cleaning is questionable. The sheets often look worn and not really fresh, which leaves the impression that they are poorly washed. Bed bugs in 119, it ruined my whole trip I had 4 days planned and I literally had to get rid of my clothes my shoes and some luggage to avoid having the bed bugs travel home with me. This was a terrible experience.

Great little place / good value. Very accommodating owners and staff (although they did use the leaf blower on the parking lot too early in the morning). Fridge, microwave, hairdryer & coffee in the room. There is an outdoor pool but I didn't use it.
