I contacted ABV Plumbing about installing an automatic shutoff valve. The woman I talked to on the phone said that they would need to come out and do an assessment, which would cost $99, and that would count towards the final cost. I was concerned that my particular plumbing geometry might make it difficult or even impossible to install --- and thus they would waste a trip and I would waste money --- so she agreed with my suggestion that I just text photos and data to the same phone number I had called on --- not looking for... read more
