I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Amshel and the entire team at Absolute Surgical Specialists. After struggling to get answers and make progress elsewhere, Dr. Amshel stepped in and made sure my care moved forward. He was instrumental in helping me get my endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ultimately my gallbladder removal completed when I had been facing obstacles and delays. I needed surgery urgently, and Dr. Amshel was the only provider in 2 counties who would work with me and my insurance so that I could be seen as soon as possible. My PCP referred me to him on a Friday. I called to schedule my appt the following Monday. I was seen on that Wednesday and had my surgery that Friday. Dr. Amshel will now continue my care for screenings and follow-ups. No telephone shuffle. No unnecessary referrals or middle-man visits. Just good, quick, personal care. Would recommend to anyone.
WOW... Where do I start??? I was referred to this Dr. from a list of Dr's from my primary care physician. I was having multiple (20-30) bowel movements a day that were mostly blood and mucus. I explained these symptoms to Dr. Craig Amshel. The Dr then proceeded to insert a glass or plastic see thru instrument in my anus. He stated that I had hemorrhoids and that I needed to drink more water and increase my fiber intake and to follow up with him in a few weeks. Dr. Amshel and his surgical staff are an excellent choice if you need umbilical hernia surgery. They are professional and courteous through out the entire process. Pre operation was informative and detailed about the process. All my questions were answered before surgery. The day of my surgery went seamlessly and I was kept comfortable and informed while waiting for the surgery to begin. Dr. Amshel saw me before and after to answer all my questions. And…. The staff is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. They are very friendly and professional. The team works well together which shows in their performance and care. Nurse Angie was very attentive to all of my concerns.
