Their warranty is worthless.
I purchased a refurbished refrigerator from Absolute Appliance, thinking foolishly that their 1 year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship meant I had a better chance of getting a reliable appliance than buying used from Craigslist, and the support of a brick and mortar store if something went wrong.
Shortly after installation, we noticed water leaking inside the unit. Less than two weeks after installation, the door FELL OFF when the lower hinge bolts failed.
I called for warranty service, and they sent out a tech who said that there was no way that the bolts failed due to any defect in materials or workmanship. Keep in mind this is the same tech that switched the door from right-hung to left-hung just before delivery - of course he'll insist that he couldn't have had a hand in the failure.
The verdict from the woman at the store was that if the tech said it wasn't a defect in workmanship or materials, that's all there was to it. No warranty coverage. I'm just the proud owner of a useless leaking fridge with no door.
I've placed a complaint with the BBB. In the mean time, steer clear! You can get something nicer, newer, and cheaper off Craigslist, and you'll probably get better customer service too. Couldn't possibly be worse...
