July 2026: Delicious Salade Lyonnaise, sole and French Fries. Feb 2025 update: Excellent meal of tasty treats/ comfort food. House made potato chips, soup, tasty hamburger & fries, sole and hearty dessert. Perfect before the show.
Das Restaurant Absinthe bietet eine eher kleine und überschaubare Karte, was grundsätzlich oft ein gutes Zeichen ist. Leider konnte uns das Essen insgesamt aber nicht vollständig überzeugen. Die Austern waren geschmacklich gut, wurden jedoch etwas zu warm serviert. Das Steak war leider recht sehnig, während der Burger in Ordnung war, ohne besonders hervorzustechen. Insgesamt gab es weder echte Highlights noch grössere Enttäuschungen. Am Ende bleibt ein solides, aber eher durchschnittliches Restauranterlebnis.
The food was really delicious, but unfortunately I was made sick. I have celiac and the waiter was extremely overly confident with what was gluten free. I checked multiple times throughout the meal and was consistently told everything was gluten free before I could even finish my question. I ate there 4 days ago and am still feeling sick. Very disappointed.
We had such a great time at Absinthe and are already planning our next visit. The team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The service was thoughtful without feeling overdone, which made the experience even better. We especially loved the oysters and have been talking about coming back just to enjoy them again. This is definitely a spot worth returning to whenever you're looking for a memorable meal.
