RecommendedI've been visiting Yellowstone for many years, and the Absaroka Lodge is by FAR my most favorite place to stay in Gardiner!! Outstanding location, kind and attentive staff, a welcoming atmosphere, and clean, well-appointed, cozy rooms. :-)

Way overpriced for what you get. Had a strange smell. Needs a lot of updating. No senior discount offered. Will not stay there again!

You have to remember that your are staying at the North Entrance to YNP during the peak season and our prices are much lower than the competition. We have spent a lot of money over the last 2 years updating a lot of the hotel but we're not quite finished. We have allocated more funds to make even more upgrades over the off-season. Nice view next to Yellowstone river. Good location, Subway and convenient stores are just opposite. Reasonably clean and big rooms. But no breakfast.

We've been staying at the Absaroka Lodge several times a year for over 15 years! Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. It's not uncommon to see Elk outside of your room or in the parking lot and the view of the river is breathtaking!
What a wonderful place to stay! Accommodated us in EVERY WAY! Rooms were clean, had an awesome view of the Yellowstone River from the balcony! Very reasonable rates for the area! Would highly recommend to anyone!
