I’ve been donating at ABO for four years and up until this last week I have not had any complaints (08/25/2025). What use to take me an hour and a half now took me almost four hours to donate. Due to learning that more plasma will be drawn, which takes time without compensation. Management needs to know, with their short staff along with the added units for collection will create longer wait time as well as a deter donors to return or find another center.
New donor. My protein level came back 1 point low and I was notified 4 days later so I went back to retest a week later. It has now been two weeks and the doctor has yet to review it making me miss out on the new donor bonus. I think its ridiculous that the results have yet to be reviewed after two weeks. I have called numerous times and they keep saying the same thing that a doctor needs to review it. This is unacceptable!
I have been donating for almost 3 yrs. The staff is very nice, however they are running a skeleton crew which leads to exhaustion and frustration with the phlebotomist, which consequently leads to injury at times permanent. I also was informed that more plasma will be drawn but the pay does not increase. With this information and observation of the short staffing, creates longer waits, donors will be forced to change locations or stop donating altogether. Perhaps a schedule will need to be enforced.
The Staff are so pleasant here. This is the fasest Plasma Center I've been to. The New Donor payments are great. $500 for your first 5 visits for the month of August. Then $100 for referral Payments after your Referral finishes their 2nd donation. I got paid w/in 24 hours for the referral bonus. I rarely wait more than 5 minutes to be called for my vitals and they have seats the entire process which is nice compared to some other centers. Pumping takes about 30 minutes. One of the cleanest plasma centers i have ever been to.Second the friendliness and professionalism was awesome.Abby is great at sticking on first try,Ami is such a wonderful spirit and so friendly and Tawina was our courtesy call the day after to see how i was feeling,yes that was the icing on the cake for me.Oh can't leave out my Nurse that saw me before the first procedure Neil sorry if I butchered your name's but you guys were all wonderful.Thank you.
