Going to echo the same sentiment I've seen on here: When this shop was formerly Bethesda, the prices were good, the selection was better, it was for a good cause, and the reputation around town was better. It was a nice place to shop for people who aren't made of money and you didn't have to spend much. I have gone in here and seen a peeling pleather jacket from Walmart going for $20 or so, but because it's "vintage" from 2008, they justify the price. I always shopped and donated here when it was ran as Bethesda thrift store. Still came and continued to shop here after the name change. I have recently noticed prices have gone up astronomically higher. Asking 20-30 dollars for things that are not worth that in a thrift store. Today I went to donate some items and who ever is taking the donations in the back a younger lady, very rude and cherry picking what I was donating, rejected items and said that would never sell there. Lots of unique items
Wow!! So I was just in there and became pretty upset at the new, dramatically increased prices! Ablelight is no longer a thrift store and like, Goodwill, will lose customers. I saw the most ridiculous prices on the cheapest stuff. So many items that are 15, 20 and even 30 on just random stuff for your house. Shame on the CEO for this.
