So far, I have gotten the impression that the providers don’t want you to rely on the VA primarily. My VA provider tried to encourage me to use other insurance that I have for my concerns which are service connected. She literally stated “This is the VA” and I perceived that as, don’t expect to actually get taken care of even if you have service connected disabilities. They asked me to provide them with records that the VA already had. They just didn’t search for them in the system. I was still waiting for my official VA rat... read more
