I booked my reservation with 701 Beach Rental in Feb, 2022, and a month later the company was bought by Vacasa. I was asked to sign a new rental agreement, which was completed. 31 days before our expected arrival date, Vacasa notified us the house was no longer available. I asked for my refund to be returned asap so I could use it to book another home. I have been fighting with them for the past two weeks to get my money right away. Rented a cottage where location was great with great access to the beach and a local strip mall. Most things worked in the house worked except a couple of the ceiling fans. The information binder that was there was mostly rules and hardly any instructions on how to use things. The description said that pool could be used but the pool area was dirty and full of leaves. The pool cleaner did service the pool on day two and the yard maintenance people came by about halfway through the week and cleaned up the pool area. The bigge... read more

Sham scam! We paid $500 a night up front for a small cottage at Indian Rocks. What a dump! Dirt smudged walls, Rusty pipes over the sink, broken couch, no box springs on the flimsy beds with only one light in the room, bathroom so small that my 6-foot 2 husband can barely stand in front of the toilet oh, not to mention a shower that is barely big enough to turn around in with broken and dirty tiles that I am afraid to step on.. We stayed with them for 18 nights. When we arrived the dishes in the cabinets were wet, there were no dish towels, the pots and pans were not only slimy but ancient and unusable. It took them 6 days to get us usable pots and pans. The beach chairs were broken. My wife slipped and fell in the shower because they didn't wipe up the cleaning spray they used on the tile floor. Then she jammed her finger in the sticky bifold door. The toilet seat was askew, hanging into the toilet. None of these items were touched by maintenance ... read more

THIEVES!!!!! will steal your money! my grandmother is dying in the hospital. They will not change our dates or refund us. How uncompassionate, unproffesional and just WRONG!! Even on the Better Business Buerra, alot of the review say the same thing. This is my money and they wont do nothing but Keep my money! DO not do business with this place, they will rob you and give you a dirty, bug infested place to stay from what Im seeing. JUST PLAIN WRONG!!

They have horrible customer service. They are inconsiderate. My grandmother is in the hospital dying, we just wanted to change our dates of stay and they refused! We are coming all the way across the country from Arizona to flordia snd they say nothing can be done. They said non transferable dates and non refundable. Have some human decency. How mean can you be!! They are a rip off and scam and have many bad reviews as seen on here of lots of other people saying the same thing. Have some compassion and understanding! VaCasa is a terrible Rental Management Company that rented out an absolutely disgusting, dirty home to my family (yes, even during COVID!) which has a poor, unresponsive customer service group that you have to chase down to deal with the issues they cause you and even still, provide no compensation or satisfaction. This was our second trip to HHI. We stayed in Island Club 3502. The condo we stayed in was horrible. Guest bed room was tiny, horrible lighting, no drawers at all for storage, no private bath, furnishings were ancient, rusty balcony tables and chairs, cigarette holes in sofa. We had to move a lamp on the bedside table out of the room to make space we needed, and the cord for the lamp on the other side of the bed was not long enough to plug in. NEVER AGAIN WITH VACASA! Wow. I have not encountered anything so disappointing. I booked via AirBnB. Three weeks out, with COVID spiking and traveling with elderly parents and days after the city declared a state of emergency; I asked to move my reservation out a few months to an open week. First response was that the policy is to allow only reservations to move out into the same month if I am within 30 days of travel. (Ok, I think...so much for kindness to bend the rules).
