About this business

My clinical practice is focused on the evaluation and management of adults and children with rheumatologic conditions including inflammatory arthritis and autoimmune disorders. My training included both pediatric and adult rheumatology, allowing me to care for patients young, old, and everyone in between including helping young adults transition from pediatric to adult care. I especially enjoy helping individuals feel better and get back to living their lives fully. My research has focused on the many benefits of physical ac... read more

What the others said! Dr. Gilbert seemed to dismiss my test results. After I responded to a UNC survey noting pictures of my symptoms and how I felt treated, she changed her clinical notes in “MyChart”! Dismissed me because my labs weren't "severe" enough, and by the time I was able to get an appointment (8 months after the concerning symptoms started and the labs were taken) my symptoms weren't as visible anymore. Very frustrating experience.

I had high hopes going in, but she has a superior attitude and refuses to answer questions. She knew nothing of HLA-b gene mutations and even more concerning was her lack of knowledge regarding immunosuppressives. I had to literally Google the pharmacology information for her and she nearly prescribed me a drug I would have reacted badly to. When I questioned her, she was rude and dismissive. Dont risk your life on this "doctor".
