We went there during our honeymoon vacation and it was a busy night so the owner took care of us (She was awesome by the way!!!). The food was great, we had a history lesson on the restaurant and how her family decided to reopen it and we wish her the best of luck. With the quality of food and service they will have no trouble!!!!
Beautiful setting and great service. Our server and the hostess were both excellent. My only comment and reason for not giving 5 stars is that the menu is a bit over priced. 1.2lb (chicken) Lobster with 1 side was $28. My “large” lobster at 1.5lbs was $35. Desserts are $10 for a slice of pie w/ ice cream. As someone else commented $16 for a cup of clam chowder??? Freshest Maine lobsters cooked to order in large pot of the water right from the ocean behind the restaurant. adorable picnic tables overlooking the cove. A Maine must.
Perfect execution of non seafood dishes for half our party. And, our server was kind from the beginning with us bringing two young kids. Both children had unspeakable meltdowns and she absorbed the repercussions without asking other servers for help, embarassing our family, or treating us with anything but kindness. If I had more cash I would've thrown more on top of the hosts tip than I did. The shell fish lovers were easily empressed as usual. lol.
Great food and service. Relaxing atmosphere and view is beautiful
Too expensive but very very good and cannot beat somes sound at sunset
Abel’s is a hidden gem... breathtaking views, a little piece of sweet serenity on the coast of Maine... food was excellent with friendly service. Congratulations to Dakota and the new management team... we’ll most definitely be back!!
Excellent food, great service and the view of Somes Sound is outstanding.
We just had an amazing dinner at Abel’s! The menu is better than ever, the service was fantastic, the food was perfect. In all honesty, be patient when you order, but only because they are cooking your order when you order it and they are running your food from the steamer. Glenn and Kelsea Squires, along with their daughters, may be the most gracious hosts EVER! Had dinner tonight am going back on Thursday.
