I’m sad to leave this review. I saw Dr. Abella for a couple of years. Each appointment she listened and told me to set another appointment when I needed it. I saw her sporadically when I needed her, which was usually every few months. I was never given any guidance, feedback or tools. I was listened to and told to come back when I felt like it. I have since had other therapists, which has helped me realize I was not a fit for this practice. She allowed me to talk, but rarely gave feedback and never gave me things to work on outside of therapy. During my final session she was only half present because her daughter was visiting her office, it was very off-putting and the final straw. I was in a really bad place with postpartum depression and my father's passing and feel like I wasted 8 months here. Shop around, don't just go to the nearest therapist.
