My pharmacy sells this candy. Once a month I buy a couple of different chocolates. Love them! English Toffee is my favorite.
I have not had the pleasure of visiting Abdallah Candies Factory and Shop in person but I did purchase some Dark Chocolate Orange Peel, Dark Chocolate Creamy Lemon and Dark Chocolate Creamy Key Lime from a fabulous shop in my area. The Dark Chocolate Orange Peel was exceptionally delicious! Very generous amount of chocolate as well as the peel! I had to stop myself from eating the whole lot. Looking forward to visiting the actual shop in Minneapolis at some stage. Now I have to get back to my chocolate….
Wonderful selection of 'first run' candy but I highly recommend asking about the monthly deal (only available at the physical store) and imperfect candy that is discounted. They are behind counters so you must ask. It is not all chocolate - my dad LOVES the lemon drops.
When Abdallah says that they've "spent over five generations perfecting original recipes," take them at their word. They make some of the finest chocolates I've ever had. Absolutely incredible, fresh, great ingredients, and beautifully made. Their caramel alligators are next-level, as are their cashew Grizzlies (pardon the bite I took out of one before snapping the pic). I ran across them at The Jefferson House in Covington, Louisiana, and I am now a loyal lifelong customer.
I love this place! I read a few different reviews online and decided to check this place out! The place is vast. I’m assuming the factory is connected to the really cool store. I arrived around Christmas, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The layout is very nice, as it lists the sections by interest, such as milk chocolate, nuts, etc. I ordered the peppermint patties, chocolate bars, peanut butter cups, and additional items.
