January 27 of 2012 I was dropped off at the ABC Club with nothing but a paper jumpsuit and a bag of letters. Although my journey was ruff and I stumbled a few times the staff at ABC always welcomed me home. They gave me tools and showed me how to walk through this thing we called life. I am so grateful for the staff there and the fact that we all are family.
I never thought the ABC Recovery center would've made such an impact on my life. I'd like to thank everybody who works there for all their help and all my brothers and sisters camping out there. Even Ted the butthole night tech. You're all the best people I've ever had through the worst time of my life. My deepest appreciation for my case managers and the two counselors (y'all know who y'all are). I wish I had seen it for what its truly worth when I first arrived. You saved my life ABC. Fuck Yeah!
I was a client there back in 2013 and loved the people who worked there. I lived in transitional living for 11 months. Aly volunteered me for every event until I eventually started volunteering on my own. I am very grateful for her and a few other staff members. I try and get back there twice month to visit my friend bear and attend meetings. I've noticed a spark and excitement in people and their recovery this past year or so. I was there in 2000-2003. they saved my life. the staff at the time was fantastic and were very caring. I would recommend this place to everyone in need of help with their addictions. I met some fantastic people there through the AA meetings.
I DID EVERYTHING THAT PLACE ASKED OF ME. I WAS ASSISTANT HEAD OF HOUSE. AND IN THE END, STAFF WAS DISRESPECTFUL. ESPECIALLY MY COUNSELOR WENDY SHIELDS. I REMEMBER SHE THREW A FIT BCUZ I MADE A DENTIST APPOINTMENT. A DENTIST APPOINTMENT!!! STAFF THERE IS NEITHER CAPABLE OR COMPETENT ENOUGH TO HANDLE THE AMOUNT OF CLIENTS THEY HAD RIGHT BEFORE I LEFT. THE PROGRAM MANAGER HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE'S DOING ON A DAILY BASIS.
It really helped me identify my problems love the community everywhere I go I rep ABC Club lol
