No one wants to hear the words Endometrial CANCER, but if you do, you want to hear the words, Dr. Abby Gonik. Robotic Assisted Surgery. Once awake after surgery, I asked the nurse, if I had surgery, thinking maybe I didn't, because I had zero pain. Zero. I went home 4 hours later, still having no pain. Never took any pain meds. Family & I went to Disneyland 3 weeks after surgery. Appts are on time, little to no waiting. Staff is friendly & professional. Follow up care is terrific. Dr. Gonik is amazing.
I love Dr. Gonik. She is an amazing Dr and I am so upset she is no longer with Sutter. I don't know why or where she's going to be and it's very distressing when a cancer patient suddenly loses their Dr. Wherever she goes will be lucky to have such a great Dr.

Words dontd explain how phenomenal Dr. Abby Gonik is. My grandmother and I have been seeing her for six years now. Dr. Gonik never gives up and she is personal with her patient's. I would recommend her to anyone :)
On April 6, 2018 I had a di Vinci radical hysterectomy and both ovaries removed. My experience in the care of Dr Gonik was exemplary. I felt comfortable and important at her Doctors office and when it came time for the surgery at Sutter, the surgery experience was all positive too. Things I appreciated: good communication, approachable, comfortable demeanor, understanding, works with local Doctors and providers, surgical team was amazing as well and she accepts Partnership Healthcare.
