I am disabled, in a wheelchair, half blind, and in constant pain, so I need a lot of help at home, but it is very difficult to find a decent caregiver in Albuquerque. My impression is that the caregiving situation that works out for the sick person is if they have a family member or friend taking care of them. Otherwise, I have not been able to find a reliable caregiver. It is very difficult to find a decent caregiver agency in Albuquerque. There are a lot of variables, including the rarity of good caregivers. I am happy with one of Abarim's people (Leo) is an office worker who fills in occasionally with some clients, he is smart as a tack and naturally does what needs to be done without being told or instructed. He is worth his weight in gold. (As opposed to one guy over here one day who was so lazy he wanted to wash the dishes WHILE SITTING IN A CHAIR!) I have been with this particular age... read more
This company continues to consistently break basic health guidelines. IE: returning to kitchen 2 wash dishes w gloves they just cleaned bathroom with!, having a profuse nose bleed & placing 3ft. of toilet tissue in the waste basket! refusing to read written instructions, refusing to do a task as I'verequested&saying they will do something else instead; etc. So disappointing in general.
It is difficult to grade this agency because they are dealing with a situation that is endemic to the whole industry, and that is that there are very few good caregivers available. But I think this agency is better than most of the others. I have tried a few. Every time I get a caregiver from the agency, however, the person is completely unreliable.
