Dr. Blackshaw is a straight forward doctor with a true desire to help patients. My father was dealing with an infection along with torn rotator cuff. Previous doctors dismissed the shoulder injury but Dr. Blackshaw did not. Within a short amount of time, he aspirated fluid from his shoulder and got it to the labs for testing and got him moved to Novant Orthopedic Hospital for surgery. Dr. Blacks jaw was my emergency room doctor and did a fantastic job and I don’t give such complements lightly. Not only was he thorough and ran a battery of tests to determine the root cause of the illness I was suffering from that brought me into the ER, he also showed just the right amount of empathy, concern, and interest.
