Very happy about the providers I see/saw. Not happy with how the scheduling work. On the website it says: “We offer all these services under one roof to make the transitions easier to manage and create more consistency of care for those we serve.” Talking about outpatient therapy. DOES NOT MENTION HOW ITS ONLY 12 WEEKS/12 SESSIONS. This office only does short term therapy. It’s taken me literally years to get in with a therapist that takes Medicare. I see both a psychiatrist and therapist here. Both are great at their job but luminis is awful. Consistently have to sit in reception for 20-45 minutes after my appointment time and frequently have issues with their billing system. The one or two times I’ve been slightly late (and called to let them know) I’ve been forced to reschedule which makes no sense if I was going to sit in reception for 20-45 minutes anyway. Do better luminis.
Luminis Mental Health Annapolis ran my 87-year old mother through their bureacratic gauntlet for 10 weeks, and then informed us that their geriatric psychiatrist is not willing to treat dementia patients. And now they want to charge us $90 for this conclusion of their "intake" process! I called 3 months ago asking for a geriatric psychiatrist to treat the anxiety of a dementia patient--my 87 year old mother who has moved in with me and is in distress daily. Reviews make you think the front desk girls are all pissed off trolls charging limbs for access to their amazing providers. After going in for my evaluation today I have to disagree with everything said about all the receptionist. I had a issue that wasn't my fault or theirs and they did a great job working with me to get around it. I even gave them a out to brush me off and do it another day. I have never experienced an office as horrible as this place. I have worked in the healthcare industry for 8+ years and am fully aware how protocols work and how patient care is supposed to be, and on every single level this practice fails. The front desk staff are the most miserable awful people I have ever experienced, they are awful and rude every single time and make me feel like a burden every time I have to make contact with them.
