About this business

History Established in 1963. AAMCO is an American transmission-repair franchise founded by Robert Morgan[1] and Anthony A. Martino (who used the first letter of each name to form the names AAMCO and later MAACO) during 1963 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Martino eventually ended his affiliation to manage the MAACO autobody-shop franchise, but Morgan stayed on with his son, Keith Morgan, succeeding him as CEO. AAMCO has been known[by whom?] to be confused with Amoco, a former brand of gasoline service stations now owned by BP... read more

Tom and the AAMCO team in Quakertown came to my rescue when my starter system died. Tom sent a mechanic to diagnose down the street where I couldn't move. They were able to get it started and going so I could get it into the shop. They replaced all the old parts with new. Some parts were 25 years old and hard to find. It does not hesitate to start even as the weather gets colder. All this extra mile service came at a very reasonable price, and a pleasant disposition. If I could give them 6 stars, they earned every one. Updat... read more

Wasn't too thrilled with the service and the $12 "shop supplies" charge for a drain and fill is ridiculous. They said multiple times they'd do a transmission flush, which my recommended 100k service suggested, but after getting my car in they said they can only do a drain and fill. Wish they were more honest up front since the dealer had no issue doing a flush. 2005 Toyota Solara convertible, silver. Check your records.

The mechanic I went to for my inspection, I mentioned I went here for work and he said he did too and had nothing but good things to say about this business. I hope I never have to come back to see you guys, but if I do need anymore body work I wil... read more

Took way to long to figure out what was wrong with our cars AC. Turns out they put a bad compressor in it. They did replace it again free of charge after that but it was a huge hassle

Got my inspection done at AAMCO at the end of May and significant exhaust repairs this week. Very quick response time and excellent service with fast turn around. Tom is a fantastic help. I will definitely come here again.
