Very fast 3 days turn around on the Tahoe Transmission!
I brought my car in for a simple oil change and tire rotation, but the experience was far from satisfactory. The staff was highly unprofessional. After waiting for over two hours, I was presented with a bill that included charges for services I didn't request or authorize. To make matters worse, my car now makes a strange noise that it didn't make before. I'm extremely disappointed with the service and would not recommend this auto repair company to anyone.
Mike and the technicians at AAMCO Sugar Hill handled my transmission rebuild with that old school service I rarely see anymore. I am very mechanically inclined and have done 99% of all major repairs and maint. myself for the past 35+ years. At my current age, I wasn't looking forward to replacing a transmission on a heavy duty diesel pick up by myself in a driveway if I could find a shop that I could trust. 100% recommend this shop! Price was fair to rebuild the transmission on my truck and communication was well beyond what a shop would normally provide. The 5 star is truly based off two main points. First, the evaluation was done a price was set bill was paid. After the evaluation Mike called me and said they missed two items. Usually shops say they need to adjust the bill when making that call. I brought my vehicle to AAMCO after the check engine light came on. Mike told me upfront there was no charge for running a diagnostic. He went above and beyond by not only pulling the codes but also performing a full physical inspection of the transmission. During the inspection, he discovered an abnormal amount of metal shavings in the transmission pan, which pointed to a transmission failure.
