RUN AWAY!!!! DO NOT go here or any AAMCO. They are totally unqualified to install transmissions. DON'T BELIEVE any review that says they did a good job. I had to return after a month to have them totally reinstall the transmission since they messed it up the first time. They held my car for over a month and barely had any communication with me on they second try while blaming everything but themselves. I had to track down the owner in Chicago to talk to anyone! The AAMCO team took great care of my 1989 transmission which they had problems with and they stuck with it and they got the car right I’m so appreciative of their service
I trusted this shop with my clutch repair, but I’ve had to return the car twice for the same issue. The second visit was solely to correct mistakes made during the first repair. Unfortunately, they did not honor the warranty, and the problem has now returned. I have no choice but to take my vehicle elsewhere to have it repaired properly. Very disappointed.
I needed a clutch repair on my manual transmission car, they “fixed” it but in around two weeks the clutch was down again because they didn’t purge the air correctly. Took it back to them and they change the slave cylinder (where they charged me again). My clutch got busted again. I am not taking it here anymore.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE The 2 stars are ONLY for the manager Jimmy Jones!!! If not for him!! I'd give 0 stars and take further action !!! Back and forth to this place for the last 2 mos!! Paid 3k for work to be done and it's still not correct!! Leave dirt all over my truck and definitely I have things missing!!! And due to the warranty I HAVE TO take it back!!! I'd rather cut off a finger!!! Then go back to 1760 81st Aamco!!!!!!
